Metropolitan School of Dance Clontarf

The Metropolitan School of Dance, established in 1945 by our patron Patricia Joan McCarthy, is a beacon of classical ballet excellence in Clontarf. Our institution introduces children as young as 3 to the enchanting realm of ballet, guiding them through their pre-professional journey. In Clontarf, we maintain the highest standards of classical ballet training within a nurturing and supportive ambiance. Students undergo Royal Academy of Dance examinations, consistently achieving exceptional results, both at graded and vocational levels.

Classical ballet, a cornerstone of our curriculum, fosters self-confidence, poise, musicality, core strength, flexibility, and coordination. Enthusiastic students also relish the opportunity to showcase their talents in our school performances at the esteemed O’Reilly Theatre, Belvedere College.
