Welcome to the Catherine Casey School of Dance, a leading institution for dance education in Ireland. With a rich history in the world of performing arts, Catherine Casey herself is a seasoned performer and dedicated teacher. Catherine’s journey in dance began at the prestigious National Concert Hall in Dublin, where she showcased her talent for eight years. She even had the honor of taking on dual roles as both dancer and dance captain in the film “Ella Enchanted,” alongside Oscar Winner Anne Hathaway. Her stage presence also graced the hit show “Vapours” at The Helix, DCU.

Bringing over 15 years of teaching experience, Catherine’s passion for dance knows no bounds. Her training, which started in Ireland under the tutelage of Dex McGloughlin, extended to Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre in Liverpool and the Debbie Capon College of Dance in Whitstable. In 2005, Catherine founded the Catherine Casey School of Dance, beginning in Castleknock, expanding to Lucan two years later, and launching the Shankill branch in 2013. Our school’s ethos is rooted in inclusion, ensuring that each student thrives in their dance journey, participating in activities, auditions, and performances to nurture their talents.

Catherine’s dedication to the art of dance extends beyond the studio. Since 2013, she has taken on the role of choreographer for the renowned “Music in the Classroom” series in collaboration with RTE and The Irish Times. Students from our School of Dance have had the incredible opportunity to perform alongside the National Concert and Symphony Orchestras in prestigious venues like the National Concert Hall and the Helix, as well as on nationwide tours, showcasing their talents in Dundalk, Limerick, Galway, and Castlebar.

In addition to our studio programs, Catherine spearheads in-school dance initiatives in several institutions, including St. Anne’s National School, Dalkey School Project Educate Together, Rathfarnham Educate Together, Startright Playschool, and Rathdown Junior School. Here, both girls and boys of all abilities are introduced to the world of dance. At the secondary level, Catherine has lent her choreography expertise to musical productions such as “Grease,” “Joseph,” and “Fiddler on the Roof.” Join us at the Catherine Casey School of Dance, where the love of dance is nurtured, and dreams take center stage.
