In Lucan, The Metropolitan School of Dance has been a trusted institution for classical ballet education since 1945, founded by the esteemed patron Patricia Joan McCarthy. Our doors open wide to welcome children as young as 3 years old into the enchanting realm of ballet, guiding them through their early dance steps to advanced pre-professional training. Affiliated with the Royal Academy of Dance, our students have the privilege of participating in RAD examinations, consistently achieving remarkable results at both graded and vocational levels. Our training not only cultivates technical proficiency but also instills life skills such as self-confidence, poise, musicality, core strength, flexibility, and coordination. Moreover, we celebrate the joy of performance with our annual school productions held at the prestigious O’Reilly Theatre, Belvedere College, where our students’ talents shine
