Metropolitan School of Dance Sandymount

Sandymount is home to The Metropolitan School of Dance, founded in 1945 by our esteemed patron, Patricia Joan McCarthy. We warmly invite children as young as 3 to embark on their ballet journey, guiding them through pre-professional training. In Sandymount, we maintain unwavering standards of classical ballet instruction in a supportive and friendly environment. Our students consistently achieve outstanding results in Royal Academy of Dance examinations, both at graded and vocational levels.

Our curriculum places a strong emphasis on classical ballet, fostering self-confidence, poise, musicality, core strength, flexibility, and coordination. In Sandymount, students eagerly anticipate the chance to showcase their talents in our school performances at the renowned O’Reilly Theatre, Belvedere College.
