The Metropolitan School of Dance Howth

In Howth, The Metropolitan School of Dance has been a pillar of classical ballet education since 1945, thanks to our patron Patricia Joan McCarthy. Our doors open to aspiring ballet dancers as young as 3, guiding them on their path to pre-professional training. We take pride in upholding the highest standards of classical ballet instruction within an encouraging and welcoming atmosphere. Students in Howth consistently excel in Royal Academy of Dance examinations, achieving outstanding results in both graded and vocational levels.

Our curriculum places a strong emphasis on classical ballet, developing attributes such as self-confidence, poise, musicality, core strength, flexibility, and coordination. Students in Howth eagerly anticipate the opportunity to shine on stage during our school performances at the prestigious O’Reilly Theatre, Belvedere College.
